Talk Shop, Western Canada’s largest and most connected public relations firm, is looking to expand our talented team with the addition of a Digital Account Coordinator.  Leaders in technology, consumer goods, lifestyle, luxury, retail, real estate and finance, Talk Shop is made up of bright talent and brands looking to engage consumers, media, digital, and influencer marketing differently.

This position is the newest addition to Talk Shop’s growing digital division. The individual in this role will collaborate with account teams to develop engaging paid and organic digital content. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in social media management and/or paid strategy (1 – 2 years) and have a strong understanding of digital and social media marketing.

About the Role

The Digital Account Coordinator is responsible for supporting with digital content on a variety of accounts. Taking direction from the Director of Client Services, Digital and account team leads, the coordinator is primarily responsible for the following: conducting social media audits, developing social media plans, compiling content calendars, managing social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), coordinating visual content (photo and video shoots), executing paid strategies, community management and engagement, and reporting.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support Director of Client Services, Digital and account leads on a fast-paced, deadline-driven portfolio of clients
  • Conduct digital marketing and social media audits and competitive analysis  
  • Support the development of organic and paid digital content plans
  • Weekly compilation of content calendars for a variety of channels and clients
  • Social media execution across a variety of channels and clients – daily posting, monitoring, and interaction  
  • Regular reporting of key metrics
  • Development and execution of paid social media strategy and digital advertising
  • Influencer research and relations


Salary will be determined based on previous experience.


  • Post-secondary education with a focus on social media, digital marketing, or communications  
  • 1- 2 years relevant social media and/or digital marketing experience
  • Strong writing skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and an eye for consistency across multiple projects
  • Knowledge of mainstream social media platforms and tools
  • Experience in creating, developing, and maintaining a brand voice for internal and external communications
  • Exceptional creativity – an aptitude for generating new content and creating new ways to engage online communities
  • Ability to manage priorities and balance a deadline-driven workload with complete accuracy
