Social Media Associate

A day in the life of a Social Media Associate

• Write impactful content for social media channels across a variety of clients and industries 
• Provide engaging visual content to accompany written posts 
• Come up with bright ideas and solutions – if engagement is low, you’ll drive a discussion about why it may not have worked so that you and the Account Lead can build a plan on how we can move forward
• Support social team and account leads on a fast-paced, deadline-driven portfolio of clients 
• Build smart social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
• Act fast to respond to comments and audience questions online
• Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
• Coordinate with PR and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency
• Help build relationships with influencers and support with influencer relations 

What you’ll bring

• Minimum of 2 years of copywriting experience, either at an agency or in-house
• Exceptional writing skills 
• Knowledge of the social media landscape – we want to hear about the trends you’re following 
• Strong knowledge or experience in social media 
• Exceptional creativity – ability to generate new content and create new ways to engage online communities 
• Ability to identify and track relevant social media and community management metrics 
• Ability to manage priorities and balance a deadline-driven workload with complete accuracy
• Knowledge of  mainstream social media platforms and tools – we’d love to see examples of the channels you’re on or have managed 
• Extreme attention to detail – you take pride in the high-quality, client-ready work you produce
• Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to contribute to a high performing team environment

Location

This role is currently remote with the opportunity to work from a socially distanced and safe office space 1 – 2 days per week if desired when provincial guidelines allow.
