Talk Shop, a full-service, integrated communications agency, is looking to add to our roster of social media and digital experts. Leaders in real estate, technology, consumer goods, lifestyle, luxury, retail, and finance, Talk Shop is made up of bright talent and brands looking to engage media, social, and influencer marketing differently. 

We are looking for a qualified freelance Community Manager to join our team to support in a contract capacity on a number of accounts. Our ideal candidate has exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment. Ultimately, you will moderate online and offline conversations, will act as the voice of brands online, and will manage all community conversations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support social team and account leads on a fast-paced, deadline-driven portfolio of clients 
  • Set and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
  • Provide engaging text, image and video content for social media channels across a variety of clients and industries 
  • Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner
  • Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews
  • Coordinate with PR and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Build relationships with influencers and assist with influencer relations 

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on social media, digital marketing, or communications  
  • Proven work experience as a community manager
  • Exceptional writing skills 
  • Outstanding attention to detail and an eye for consistency across multiple projects
  • Ability to identify and track relevant social media and community management metrics 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Knowledge of  mainstream social media platforms and tools
  • Exceptional creativity – an aptitude for generating new content and creating new ways to engage online communities 
  • Ability to manage priorities and balance a deadline-driven workload with complete accuracy
