Novelty contact lenses are hugely popular for Halloween, but according to eye doctors, unregulated lenses can cause severe eye damage or even blindness. The Opticians Association of Canada provided commentary on the trend of eye injuries increasing around Halloween, advising contact wearers to be safe and purchase their contact lenses from an optician rather than risking their eyesight and wearing nonprescription lenses.
