Oakridge Centre has released a new online resource called The Occasion, which is a guide to everything you need to know about events – what to wear, what to bring, proper etiquette, etc. Oakridge style expert Brenda Longland was featured on CTV Morning Live to speak about tips and tricks to being a hostess and throwing a summer patio party.

Going, going, gone!

Intergulf Development Group’s Vice President, Shaadi Faris, was featured in New Condo Guide commenting on the rapid condo sales in Metro Vancouver. Bill Good retiring from “terrific run” on daily CKNW show

Corus Entertainment is saying goodbye to longtime host of CKNW News Talk 980, Bill Good, as he retires this August. The Vancouver Sun covered Bill’s retirement with a tribute to his 26-year long career at CKNW, and included Corus Entertainment’s well wishes to Bill in his future endeavours.

MOSAIC Homes partnered with influential lifestyle blogger Monika Hibbs to garner interest around YORK, MOSAIC’s new townhome development in Langley. Monika, using her blog The Doctor’s Closet, helped to put on an event called Dinner Party at YORK, which drew in media, designers, bloggers and influencers to the development. Monika also designed the interior of YORK for the event, using the hashtag #idreamofYORK to document her decor ideas.

Event bookings boom in Vancouver as Millennials splash out on live music

Blueprint Events has noticed a trend in Vancouver as event-driven Millennials are seeking something more than just an evening out in a nightclub. They are now investing in the atmosphere, environment, the sound, lighting – the whole experience of a night out. Blueprint is not just opening nightclubs, but offering energetic events with experiences in nightclubs of outdoors venues in the form of concerts or other forms of live entertainment.

Metro Vancouver’s office vacancy rates highest in almost a decade: Colliers report

Colliers International Realty released an Office Market Report that found an increase in inventory and a slowdown in mining to be among the reasons for Vancouver’s extremely high office vacancy rates. Other reasons include a lack of demand for office space among traditional industries, with most having completed their lease deals, and some tenants adopting a “wait-and-see” approach on how landlords react to a larger inventory.

From protest to celebration: Vancouver Pride Week begins

Blueprint Events’ establishment Celebrities Nightclub was featured in Metro News Vancouver to kick off Vancouver Pride Week. Celebrities is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a DJ set from Vancouver’s Mayor Gregor Robertson. The support for Pride Week and Celebrities shows how far Vancouver has come in accepting the LGBTQ communities.
