This past weekend, our team had the honour of supporting with BC Cancer Foundation's Tour de Cure. The event is BC Cancer Foundation's biggest annual fundraiser. This year, more than 1,500 cyclists pedalled for the cause, raising an incredible $7.1 million dollars to support BC Cancer’s cutting-edge research and help bring care closer to home across the province.

The event began in Cloverdale with cyclists beginning a two-day journey from Cloverdale to Hope. Participants rode between 200km to 260km, depending on their route choice.

The annual event is B.C.’s largest cycling fundraiser and has raised over $120 million since it began back in 2009. The fundraising supports life-changing research to improve outcomes and for those who are living with or have been impacted by cancer.

Talk Shop provided support with media relations leading up to the event, as well as day-of assistance. Our team diligently worked to secure media coverage in local outlets such as Global BC, Surrey Now Leader, and many others.

We consider it a great privilege to work in support of the BC Cancer Foundation and the vital work they do. Engaging with riders, families, and cancer patients is truly meaningful. Our team at Talk Shop looks forward to the opportunity to support more of this great work in the future!
