Cult favourite home + body care shop, Bath & Body Works was looking to work with a Canadian PR Agency to expand mainstream media coverage and consumer knowledge of the brand. Their goals induced: working with an Agency that had strategic, forward-thinking and innovative ways to work with media & influencers, had established lifestyle & beauty media relationships for a straighter path to coverage and had in-depth knowledge of the influencer market. They wanted to work through a 360 PR year-long program that included opportunities for broadcast coverage, experiential events and earned media coverage.
In a market with limited exposure to Bath & Body Works, Canadian media and influencers were thrilled at the opportunity to be in communication with the brand. In the first year of working together, we garnered over 99M impressions through regular media communications, mailers and a Summer Mixer event. In 2020, using only pitching, mailers and virtual events, we garnered over 124M impressions (up almost 25%) and in 2021 we are already ahead of last year by 41%! For holiday 2020, a virtual house tour was a new and creative way we hosted a COVID-friendly event, securing 55 RSVPs – Influencers + Media posted both about the mailer and event, earning a total of 2 million impressions! Sponsored Influencer partnerships have been an important part of the 2021 strategy – working with creators who were already fans of the brand.
