Cactus Club Calgary


Cactus Club Cafe was looking to drive traffic to its Stephen Avenue location in Calgary by garnering exposure around its “Sunday Funday” promotion. The location was launching its patio and there was opportunity to position the restaurant as the “go-to” spot for food and drinks in Calgary. As their agency partner, we engaged Calgary-based style, fashion and travel blogger Ania Boniecka to host her socially influential network at Cactus Club Stephen Avenue, creating excitement on social media that was driven by Ania and her guests. Each influencer was provided with a welcome cocktail of their choice upon arrival, and a customized cactus terrarium, and other elements to encourage photo sharing on social media.

The “Sunday Funday” event was attended by 10 of Calgary’s top social media and blogger influencers. The event garnered over 200K public impressions through earned social media content targeting Cactus Club’s target audience. Ania’s instagram content received an average of 1,397 likes and over 1K viewers on Snapchat. The event was a success in strengthening Cactus’s relationships with Calgary’s top influencers.
