Peak Resilience
Vancouver-based intersectional feminist counselling practice, Peak Resilience, was looking to increase brand recognition in the local market to attract new clients ahead of moving into their larger downtown office space. They turned to Talk Shop to establish recognition of the Peak Resilience brand through a steady cadence of media coverage, which established their team of counsellors as thought leaders on various issues related to mental health. Talk Shop began with an in-depth discovery session to determine Peak Resilience’s values and approach to mental health and identify areas of mental health to focus our conversations on. Following this, Talk Shop kicked off media outreach to secure thought leadership opportunities for Peak Resilience’s founder and other counsellors on the team.
In six months, Talk Shop secured 150 pieces of media coverage in consumer, lifestyle and business press, including four separate interviews with CBC Radio, an opinion piece in Vancouver Sun, as well as coverage in outlets like CTV Vancouver, City News, The Star Vancouver, CKNW, Best Health Magazine, Bustle and Business in Vancouver. Coverage resulted in 145M impressions and an influx of new clients. For example, media coverage surrounding Peak Resilience’s free COVID-19 online support groups caused the groups to fill up, resulting in new leads for paid sessions.
