A long-time partner of the JOEY Restaurant Group, Talk Shop was approached by their sister-brand, LOCAL Public Eatery, to help them launch their newest Calgary location, LOCAL Public Eatery, Barclay. Talk Shop was tasked with garnering high-profile local and national media coverage and generating buzz and excitement for their newest Calgary location. 

Talk Shop media presented a robust media relations strategy focused on organic media coverage and influencer relations.

Our work together led to an impressive launch for the restaurant group’s newest Alberta-based location and generated over 8M impressions, 800K social media impressions, and 81 total media hits. 

Of particular note was the success of the influencer and media 1:1 tastings. Talk Shop organized 19 tastings, generating over 9M impressions and 76 pieces of earned media coverage. Talk Shop secured fantastic restaurant reviews from leading food and beverage reporters and secured over 80 media hits for the new restaurant, including coverage from print and digital outlets such as Calgary Herald, Daily Hive, Culinaire Magazine, and Foodservice and Hospitality Magazine.
