Focused on a business-to-business audience, OnDeck was looking to communicate their technology-enabled financing solution, that would dramatically improve small Canadian business owners’ struggle to access capital. To successfully execute OnDeck’s Canadian expansion and increase brand awareness amongst small business owners, as their PR partner we adopted a two-pronged strategy that would earn organic media coverage while forging on-going relationships with small business associations across OnDeck’s key markets. We pursued OnDeck’s top media targets, including traditional and broadcast media outlets in key regions, as well as nationally.

Over 35 pieces of positive media coverage were garnered during OnDeck’s expansion including national coverage in The Globe and Mail, CBC: The Exchange with Amanda Lang, and Business News Network (BNN). We established ongoing, working relationships with regional small business associations across key markets, and directly contributed to a 1500% jump in loan applications from Canadian small businesses.
