When Chard Development launched their most recent projects in downtown Victoria, they faced an interesting opportunity to highlight a progressive and unique partnership with BC Housing. Yates on Yates and Johnson would add a significant number of units to downtown, in addition to the seven projects Chard had recently developed in the area. To build awareness around Chard’s corporate brand as well as build interest in the projects, we developed a two-pronged media relations strategy. First, we secured coverage around the developer’s corporate brand and their experience and scope in Victoria, further establishing credibility around the Chard name. The second phase was spent building awareness around the unique partnership with BC Housing, something never before seen in BC.
