Oristand engaged our team for the launch of its cardboard standing desk, a concept born from the mind of Ryan Holmes, CEO of Hootsuite. With no previous marketing or social media outreach, Oristand was reliant completely on public relations outreach for public awareness. The conceptual design of Oristand was such a novel approach, we leveraged the story to secure media across lifestyle, tech, design, health and business media publications. The product was also the first of its kind to offer a low cost solution for standing desks, and a strong story of its initial creation.
Within the first 48 hours of launch, Oristand sold out of its first product run. In less than a week, Oristand was featured in over 50 global press outlets. Top coverage included the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Techcrunch, Glamour Magazine, Wired, The New York Times, Entrepreneur and Forbes. In Canada coverage included The Globe and Mail, Financial Post, CBC, Global TV, Yahoo! Finance, Toronto Star, The Province, and BC Business.
