Poshmark
When the US-based social commerce platform, Poshmark, entered the Toronto market, they were looking for a local partner to support on-the-ground in building a community that would help their marketplace thrive north of the border. As the company’s first expansion outside of the US, Poshmark required a combination of consumer education, community outreach and awareness PR. To launch the brand, Poshmark hosted a media and VIP event. Talk Shop pre-pitched the announcement to media across Canada and invited top-tier media and influencers to the launch event, coordinating on-site interviews to provide media with a deep understanding of the brand and its launch into this market.
Within one month of the Canadian launch, Talk Shop secured 50 pieces of coverage, reaching more than 60 million impressions, spanning fashion and lifestyle outlets, including Refinery29, Daily Hive, Vancouver Sun, and Globe and Mail. Additionally, the launch event was attended by over 50 media and garnered nearly 1 million social media impressions. The Canadian launch was so successful that Poshmark signed on for an additional year with Talk Shop.
