TIO Networks


Moving from a B2B perspective and into a consumer facing market, TIO Networks needed support broadcasting its success and reaching the growing underbanked population, while maintaining relationships with investors, potential investors and top telecom and utility partners. On the consumer side, video and infographics were created to simplify the message behind TIO and its service offering and on the B2B side, new apps and services were promoted via thought leadership to specific trade publications and investors were consistently kept apprised of the publicly-traded company’s successes through an ongoing pipeline of news announcements. Awards and speaking opportunities for Hamed Shahbazi, the founder and CEO, were also identified with a goal to raise the company’s profile and further connect with its various stakeholders.

TIO has made three significant acquisitions in the last few years and has been featured prominently on BNN, Yahoo! Finance, Wall Street Journal along with a number of industry trade publications and market journals. Hamed was named BC’s CEO of the Year by Business in Vancouver and EOY’s Entrepreneur of the Year. Most recently, in July of 2017, TIO Networks was acquired by PayPal for $302M.
