The Ask:

Reddit is a network of communities where people can dive into their interests, hobbies and passions. New to Canada, Reddit looked to Talk Shop to elevate its Canadian brand presence and overall mission of bringing community, belonging, and empowerment to the world.

Our Approach:

Reddit was looking to raise brand awareness through national and local consumer mainstream media coverage, as well as targeted trade and business media. Reddit was looking to increase exposure to Canadian brands by driving an understanding of the Reddit platform, and how it is a strong tool for marketing.


Results & Reaction:

To achieve this, we implemented an always-on-consumer media relations and trade thought leadership approach. We made Reddit one to watch in the Canadian market with coverage in the Financial Post, Daily Hive, Narcity, Media in Canada, BNN, and more. We honed in on Reddit’s impact for Canadian brands and their investment in the Canadian job market as part of our messaging strategy. We also leveraged key launches like Reddit Recap and were the market leader in coverage on a global level.
