Talk Shop Unveils New Brand as Agency Continues North American Growth

Talk Shop, a strategic communications agency with offices in Toronto, Vancouver, New York and Los Angeles, today unveiled a new brand identity. The refresh reflects the agency's continued growth and evolution of the agency, its team and the increasingly integrated work it delivers for clients across many sectors.
“The agency has evolved significantly, and we wanted a brand that better represents who Talk Shop is today and where we’re headed next,” said Sara Padidar, Co-Founder & Partner, Talk Shop. “Our growth has been driven by clients trusting us with bigger, more complex mandates that extend well beyond traditional PR. We’re bringing together strategic communications, media relations, digital, social, experiential, influencer and reputation expertise to solve business challenges, and our new brand reflects that breadth and ambition.”
Over the past year, the agency has expanded its work with Lavazza, building on its Canadian communications mandate; grown its recent partnership with JustFly; and continued integrated social, PR and experiential work with Mucinex. Talk Shop has also added new agency-of-record relationships with brands and organizations including Sunnybrook Foundation, Heart to Home Meals and Harvey AI, while expanding existing partnerships with Wheaton Precious Metals and Peterson Group.
Talk Shop has also invested in its team to support its next phase of growth, welcoming Kertney Russell as Vice President, Integrated, and Rebecca Raveendran and Elaine O'Connor as Senior Directors. Together, they bring deep experience across integrated marketing, PR, journalism and corporate communications, strengthening the agency’s senior bench and breadth of expertise.
- Kertney Russell joins Talk Shop from m5, bringing extensive marketing and integrated communications experience. She previously held a PR Director role at Hill+Knowlton Strategies (now Burson).
- Rebecca Raveendran joins from HIDDEN PR, where she was Founder and Principal, and previously held a senior role at Argyle Communications (now Changemakers).
- Elaine O’Connor brings a strong journalism background, having spent 12 years at The Province before moving into communications roles with Fraser Health Authority and S.U.C.C.E.S.S.
“Growth for the sake of growth has never interested us. It’s about building a great place to work and continuing to build an agency with the expertise and talent to meet clients wherever their communications challenges take them,” said Katie Reiach, Co-Founder & Partner, Talk Shop. “Organizations are navigating more audiences, more channels and more reputational complexity than ever. Our role is increasingly to look at that entire picture and bring together the right combination of strategy and execution to move their business forward.”
Cross Border By Design
Talk Shop operates as one cross-border team across Toronto, Vancouver, New York and Los Angeles. In the U.S., the agency is led by Stuart Martin, recently appointed Managing Director, U.S., who brings deep experience across healthcare, non-profit and technology as Talk Shop continues to expand its presence in key U.S. markets and sectors.
The structure reflects the increasingly borderless nature of media and serves clients growing in either direction across the U.S. and Canada. Clients get one connected team on the ground in both markets, with senior counsel on both sides of the border, without the added cost or handoffs of managing two agencies.
International brands entering North America benefit from the same model, including Australia's King Living, the U.K.'s Brand Finance, and Brazil's Insi along with other industry leaders.
A New Look for the Next Chapter
Talk Shop's refreshed identity, created in partnership with fellow Canadian independent agency LG2, includes a new logo, visual system, colour palette and brand platform designed to represent the agency it has become: strategic, creative, integrated and built to operate across markets and disciplines.
While the look is new, the brand is grounded in the same approach that has driven the agency's growth: senior strategic counsel, strong relationships, creative thinking and work designed to deliver commercial impact.
“This refresh puts a clearer identity around what already exists,” added Katie Reiach, Co-Founder and Partner, Talk Shop. “We believe how you communicate shapes who you become. Talk Shop has always been a place where smart people come together to help ambitious organizations cut through complexity, navigate change and communicate with purpose. Now, our brand reflects that more clearly, and creates a stronger platform for our team to share the insights, expertise and learnings that come from doing this work every day.”
Let’s Talk Shop.
